Kralingse plas, one -if not the most- popular places in Rotterdam for visitors to relax, do sports or come together, made us focus on this fantastic location. As joggers ourselves, we go there for a run quite often. This activity gave us the idea to design an object that could add something extra to the park. Inspired by the Cardiff City park run, joggers can choose to do a special Kralingen 5k run. Here we will design a parametric furniture every kilometer, where people can sit, lie down and relax on. Adding to that, every piece of furniture gives the jogger the ability to do different types of exercises, will it be sit-ups, pull-ups, leg-raises or help the jogger with stretching exercises, we will use the quality of parametricism to generate a form containing all these qualities! With this idea in mind we hope to add something unique to the Kralingen Park, making it more popular for sports, but also making these futuristic furniture bring people together!
